The Outstanding Young Alumni Award was established in 2021, in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the inaugural Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Each year, the Canton College Foundation and Office of Alumni Affairs, with the assistance of the Hall of Fame Commitee, will bestow this award upon one or more individuals.
The recipient(s) of this award will possess the following qualities:
•Is a graduate of SUNY Canton
•Is under the age of 40 by November 1 of the nominating year
•Shows promise for future career professional achievements
•Is an emerging leader through professional and/or community achievement
•Promotes SUNY Canton to peers, fellow alumni, and potential students through their career and social networks
•The nominee must be living
To nominate someone for the Outstanding Young Alumni Award, please email alumni@canton.edu with the following information:
•Nominee's name and class year
•A brief description of why the nominee is deserving of the award
•At least one additional letter of recommendation from a peer of the nominee

Established in 2011, the SUNY Canton Hall of Fame celebrates the past, present and future of the College through the recognition of those who have made significant contributions in their work, in their communities, and in the storied history of SUNY Canton.
The nominated candidate must have a reputation for excellence and dedication, bringing credit and honor upon the College through their career and scholastic achievements, campus and community involvement, their character, Those featured in the Hall of Fame include founders, faculty and staff members, alumni, and community members.
