Faculty and Staff Resources

Faculty/Staff Development Awards foster professional development opportunities for faculty and staff. Tuition costs are not eligible for Faculty/Staff Development Awards funding, but are permissible in the IDAP application. This program seeks to encourage innovation in current instruction/programs, development of new courses or programs, research in specialized areas of interest, presentation of scholarly papers, attendance at seminars or short courses, and maintain currency in one’s field.

The Campus Enhancement Awards provide resources for projects that improve students' academic experience and/or learning environment.
The following are examples of proposals that could be submitted: equipment (lab or athletic), research, field trips, guest lecturers/performers, distance learning seminars, instructional support, etc. Recurring expenses, such as software, memberships, etc., will not be funded after initial pilot funding, if approved.

SUNY Canton and the Canton College Foundation designed this program to provide financial assistance to support faculty and staff members who are in the process of obtaining their advanced degrees (Ph.D/terminal). Funds may be used to cover tuition and fees, transportation costs, or other degree-related expenses.
